1. You must first configure the Management Engine on your Intel vPro enabled platform. Detailed instructions are located on the second page of the AMT Quick Start Guide. 2. Deploy System Client software across all servers, desktops and notebooks. (Use the SyAM deployment utility to deploy to many systems across the network). Designate and install the System Area Manager software onto a server or desktop that is not AMT enabled.
This system must have a static ip address on your network since the System Clients report up to it. 3. Add System Clients to the System Area Manager by IP address. 4. To configure the vPro enabled systems, select their remote management icon from the managed systems list.
5. On the Remote Management page, click on the AMT tab.
6. On the AMT Configuration page enter the AMT hostname/IP Address, Username and Password of the AMT system which was entered in the BIOS when configured. Click on Apply to save changes. *If using Intel AMT in a DHCP mode, don't edit the hostname/ip address section.
You are now able to perform amt out of band management functions such as AMT Remote Control -

Press F2 during boot up to enter BIOS Settings - Factory default password is admin You must enter a new password - it must contain letters, numbers and symbols (example: vPro2007!)
