PurchaseSystem Area Manager License KeyTo manage all of your System Clients from a single interface and enable the System Area Management functionality you must obtain a license key. The license key controls the number of servers and/or desktops/notebooks that can be managed at any time from the System Area Manager. The System Area Manager is provided free of charge. You pay for the number of servers and/or desktops/notebooks that you wish to manage. The End User price is $179 per server, and $39 per desktop/notebook.Obtaining the System Area Manager License Key is quick and easy.
Pricing System Area Manager license keys are priced according to the number and types of systems you wish to manage. The minimum amount to purchase is either 1 server and/or 1 desktop / notebook. You may upgrade your current license key to add more systems at any time (up to a total maximum of 2000), the price is always computed as the difference between the levels you currently have, and the new levels you select. To obtain a license key please follow the steps below:1. Install System Client software on servers, desktops and notebooks to be managed, except the system that you are designating to be your Central Manager. 2. Install the System Area Manager software on the system you designated to be the Central Manager (It must have a static IP address on your network). 3. Generate a license key file by logging into your System Area Manager and selecting License Management from the drop down tab.
4. Then select the Generate License Key File button and save this generated file to your local disk. The first time the System Area Manager is installed it generates a 15-day evaluation license key that enables you to manage 2 servers and 3 desktops/notebooks.
5. E-mail the License Key file to your SyAM Software Reseller / Distributor along with your purchase order stating the number of servers and/or desktops/ notebooks you wish to be added to the License Key File. A new License key file starts at 0 servers and 0 desktops/notebooks, so order the amount you wish to manage in total. 6. You will be provided with a new License Key file, save it to your local disk. Then log into your System Area Manager and once again select License Management from the drop down tab. Click on the Browse button and choose the new License Key file. Click on the Upload License Key button. This uploads the license key and enables you to manage the number of servers, desktops and/or notebooks according to the amount you purchased. The example shows a license key that had 5 Servers and 25 Desktops/Notebooks added to the prior Evaluation Key.
7. Since the System Area Manager controls the number of centrally managed systems, the System Clients themselves are not bound to the license key, so you may add and remove systems as necessary, as long as you stay within the limited number of Servers, and/or Desktops/ Notebooks which you purchased your license key for. 8. You may upgrade your license key at any time to manage more systems by following steps 3-6 again. |
