Discovery
Discover by IP address range or Windows domain. Create system grouping based upon your requirements.
(Example: Group called Marketing).

Deployment of SyAM Software System Client
Chose the SyAM Software executable for installation. Configure installation parameters.

Authentication
Enter the username and password that is common across all the systems that you wish to deploy to. You can use Windows domain administrator username and password.

Installing System Client
Choose the group you wish to install the SyAM Software System Client to. This will now install to all the systems within the group.
(Example: we installed to the group called Conference Room).

Manage the System Client
Add the newly deployed System Client to the System Area Manager. System Clients must be Managed before additional functions are enabled such as: vulnerability scanning, patch deployment and power management.

Refresh the Group
Once the System Client is being Managed by the System Area Manager you must Refresh the List to get the latest configuration information

Vulnerability Scanning
To perform the Microsoft Vulnerability scan choose the group.
(Example: We have scanned the group called Conference Room. A detailed CSV report is written to disk. An on-screen summary of the identified missing updates is provided.)

Patch Deployment
Chose the patches you wish to deploy. Configure the parameters so it installs the patch silently and without any user disruption.

Remote Patch Installation
Choose the group you wish to install the patches to.
(Example: It is installing the patches to all of the systems located within the Group called Conference Room. Either successful installation is confirmed or the reason for failure is displayed.)

Configuring Power Schedules
Configure the daily schedule for graceful shutdown. Apply these settings to a group.
(Example: These power schedule settings are being applied to all of the systems located in the Group called Conference Room. You received confirmation that the settings are applied successfully to each system within the Group.)

Automate by Scheduling Tasks
You can tie the Management Utilities into Windows Scheduler.
(Schedule Power On Tasks for specific Groups or
Schedule Power Down Tasks for Specific Groups).
