To manage all of your System Clients from a single interface and enable the System Area Management functions you must purchase a Client Access License. The Client Access License controls the number of servers and/or desktops/notebooks that can be managed at any time from the System Area Manager. The System Area Manager is provided free of charge. You pay for the number of servers and/or desktops/notebooks that you wish to manage, this can included the system that is running the System Area Manager software.Obtaining the Client Access Licenses is quick and easy.
The minimum amount to purchase on a Client Access License is either 1 server or 1 desktop / notebook. You may add more Client Access Licenses to your System Area Manager at any time, you may have multiple System Area Managers on your networks. To process a Client Access License please follow the steps below:1. Install System Client software on servers, desktops and notebooks to be managed, except the system that you are designating to be your System Area Manager. 2. Install the System Area Manager software on the system you designated to be the System Area Manager (It must have a static IP address on your network). 3.Purchase a Client Access License from your reseller or distributor for the number and type of systems you wish to manage centrally through the System Area Manager. 4.You will be provided with a Client Access License pdf. Log into your System Area Manager and once again select License Management from the drop down tab. Enter the Client Access License (CAL) number into the entry box.
Click on the Upload CAL button. This uploads the Client Access License and enables you to manage the number of servers, or desktops and/or notebooks according to the amount issued on the Client Access License.
Since the System Area Manager controls the number of centrally managed systems, the System Clients themselves are not bound to the license key, so you may add and remove systems as necessary, as long as you stay within the limited number of Servers, and/or Desktops/ Notebooks which you purchased your Client Access Licenses for. 5. You may increase your quantities at any time by following steps 3-4 again. |
